Gord Boersma CPA, CIRP, LIT 
President & Managing Director

Gord Boersma is the President and Managing Director of the firm, bringing 20 years of expertise in corporate finance, restructuring, and executive leadership. He supports clients in refinancings, divestitures, acquisitions, and restructurings while taking on roles such as Turnaround Advisor, Interim Executive, and Chief Restructuring Officer.

Gord has advised on turnaround and capital raising mandates at Big 4 and mid-market firms, later moving into private equity acquisitions and executive management. He has led finance and operations for mid-sized businesses, including as VP of Operations at a heavy equipment lender and as President, CFO, and partner of a cross-border freight transportation and brokerage business.

Melissa Halaska
Director

Melissa Halaska is an operational finance leader with over 15 years of experience overseeing complex capital programs, operational cost control, and multi-entity financial environments within the energy sector. She has managed annual capital portfolios ranging from $750M to $1.2B, led cross-functional teams, and strengthened internal controls in high-accountability settings.

Her background includes capital governance, liquidity and vendor focused cost management, audit leadership, and executive-level financial reporting — experience that is being applied directly to mandates in restructuring, stakeholder transparency, and financial stabilization initiatives.
